Community Cares

Community Cares is our commitment to supporting families so students can focus on learning. We recognize that literacy does not develop apart from a child’s home environment. When families are facing financial strain or basic needs are unmet, academic growth becomes more challenging. Strengthening literacy requires strengthening the community around the learner. Community Cares is important because when families feel supported, students are better positioned to grow. Investing in households strengthens literacy outcomes.

What We Do

We will host weekly and seasonal community events designed to meet tangible needs and build connection. These initiatives will include weekly food drives, seasonal toy drives, a Back to School Block Party with a supply giveaway, a Christmas toy drive, holiday distributions, and community-centered celebrations throughout the year. Each effort is intentional and rooted in care.

Looking Ahead

In the future, through our Community Cares Program, we plan to sponsor families for restorative vacation experiences. Opportunities for rest and renewal contribute to overall well-being, which directly supports focus, stability, and academic engagement.
